(Alliance News) - Apax Global Alpha Ltd on Wednesday noted that its limited partner Apax X Fund has partnered with Warburg Pincus LLC to acquire T-Mobile Netherlands Holding BV for EUR5.1 billion in total.

Apax Global Alpha is closed-ended investment company giving investors access to Apax funds.

Bonn-based telecommunications group Deutsche Telekom AG owns 75% of T-Mobile Netherlands, while Tele2 AB owns the rest.

As part of this transaction, Apax Global Alpha is expected to invest around EUR22 million in T-Mobile on a look through basis.

Shares in Apax Global Alpha were 0.5% lower at 216.00 pence on Wednesday in London.
