Blue Planet Int Financials (BLP): We’re pleased to see director Dr Kay Bendall buying her first tranche of shares since her appointment to the board in August this year.

Fidelity China Special Situations (FCSS): Elisabeth Scott has joined the board of Fidelity China Special Sits as a non- executive director bringing the total number of board members to six. Ms Scott is also on the board of Pacific Horizon Investment Trust and her career saw her spend a number of years in Hong Kong, including a stint at the HK Investment Funds Association.

Henderson Fledgling (HFT): Jimmy West will resign as chairman after the forthcoming AGM on December 12. He has served as chairman since the launch of the company in November 1994 and he is on five other investment company boards. He will be replaced by Tom Bartlam, who joined the board earlier this year.

Lonzim (LZM): After two years on the board, Ian Colin Orr-Ewing has stepped down as a non-executive director. Following his departure, the board comprises four executive and three non-executive directors.

Renaissance Russia Infra (RIEL): Adrian Harris has been appointed as a non-executive director, replacing Ashar Qureshi, who has stepped down. Qureshi was only appointed in July, when the fund was launched: a very short tenure. Harris is currently Managing Director, Head of Distribution and Investor Relations at Renaissance Asset Managers, the investment management business of the Renaissance Group. Following the appointment, the board comprises three directors.

Schroder Japan Growth (SJG): Having served on the board for two years, Richard Greer has just bought his first tranche of shares in the company.

Schroder UK Growth (SDU): Bob Cowdell has succeeded Keith Niven as a non- executive director of the company. Niven has retired after serving for 17 years. Cowdell has extensive industry experience; however this is his first role on the board of directors of a listed company.

Vietnam Infrastructure (VNI): Having served for four years, Don Lam has resigned from the role of a non-executive director of the company. His replacement is Albert Theodore Powers, who has previously served on a number of boards of unlisted firms.
