Edinburgh Dragon (EFM): Peter Maynard has been appointed as a non-executive director of the company. His addition increases the number of board members to seven.

Hirco (HRCO): Eitan Milgram has strengthened the board of Hirco as a non-executive director. He currently serves on two other boards of listed companies. His appointment takes the board to four following the shake-up last year. Only one of the original members from the fund’s launch in 2006 remains in situ.

Invista European Real Estate (IERE): Duncan Owen has resigned as a non-executive director of the company, having served on the board since November 2006. His departure leaves the board with five non-executive directors and an average tenure of four and a half years.

JPMorgan Russian Securities (JRS): Robert Jeens has joined the board of JPMorgan Russian Securities as a non-executive director, raising the number of board members to seven. He currently serves as a non-executive director on two other boards.

Jupiter European Opportunities (JEO): Andrew Sutch has replaced Jack Robinson as a non-executive director following Robinson’s retirement after eleven years on the board. This is the first role of this kind for Sutch.

Octopus Eclipse VCT 3 (OEC3): Helen Sinclair has been appointed as a non-executive director, in a move that brings the board to three. She currently serves on the boards of five other listed funds.

Unitech Corporate Parks (UCP): Donald Lake has bought his first tranche of shares in the fund since his appointment as a non-executive director in November 2006. We like to see such action as it aligns directors’ interest with those of the shareholders. That said, it’s a little disappointing it has taken five years to happen, in this case.
