Director Changes: January 24-28
The EGM for Diamond Circle Capital (DIAM) saw two directors not being re-elected to the board – namely, Stephan Wrobel and Professor Eric Pichet. Wrobel is a partner of Diapason Commodities Management, the investment adviser to the firm and Professor Pichet holds directorships on other funds managed by the firm. In July 2010, notice was served to Diapason to terminate the advisory agreement upon expiry of the 12-month notice period. Thus neither can be considered as independent. This takes the board to a quorum of three instead of five. They have yet to confirm the new investment adviser to the fund and replacements to the board are likely to come as a result of this appointment, when it is made.

Christopher Watson has been appointed to the board of Dragon Ukrainian Properties (DUPD). This is his first appointment to the board of a public company.

Kevin Falconer has been appointed a non-executive director of Edge Performance VCT C (EDGC). He brings experience in the financing and operation of companies in entertainment and media.

Impax Environmental Markets (IEM) have made two new board appointments. Julia Le Blan joins the board, having also been appointed non-executive director of Investors Capital Trust (ICTA) at the start of this year. William Rickett also joins and this is his only directorship of a quoted company at this time.

LXB Properties has transferred its entire shareholding in LXB Retail Properties (LXB) to its eight directors, at a price of 105 pence per share. They closed the week at 104.5 pence on 28 January 2011.

Schroder UK Mid Cap (SCP) has two new directors on the board. Robert Rickman is also a director of Cambium Global Timberland and Eric Sanderson is chairman of MWB Group Holdings.

Sir Hamish Macleod has resigned as a non-executive director of Scottish Oriental Smaller Companies Trust (SST).
