Elliott Farley Promoted to Lead on T Bailey Cautious Managed and Fund Name to be Changed
Deputy manager on the T Bailey Cautious Managed, Elliot Farley, has been promoted to lead manager. We don’t see this change as a particular concern for investors – Farley has co-managed the fund for several years, and current lead manager Jason Britton remains head of the team. The pair will continue to work closely together. Meanwhile the fund’s name will change to Dynamic Cautious Managed from 1 October, subject to unit-holder approval.

SWIP Appoints Andrew November to Head of Equities
Andrew November has been appointed as director of equities at SWIP, having been a member of the executive team since 2003. Meanwhile John Brett, who has also been a member of SWIP’s executive team since 2003, will assume the role of sales and marketing director, following the resignation of Simon Wombwell from the position.

iShares Managing Director Moves to Lyxor
It was reported this week that Nizam Hamid, managing director and head of strategy at iShares, will move to Lyxor. The resignation comes after the recent departure of Rory Tobin, iShare’s head of international operations, as iShares owner Blackrock continues to integrate its acquisition of BGI – another major player in the tracker and ETF market.

Fidelity International will Change its Name to Fidelity Investment Managers
It was reported this week that Fidelity International would change its name in mid September to Fidelity Investment Managers, and introduce a new logo over the course of the year. The name change appears to make sense although we don’t expect any name change to have a significant effect on investors in Fidelity funds.
