L&G Fixed Interest: Qual. Rating Issued

Installing a new manager at the helm of L&G Fixed Interest is a good move, in our opinion.

We have published a new Morningstar Qualitative Rating and Research Report for L&G Fixed Interest.

"Before this reshuffle, long-term returns were not compelling, with the fund placing in the second quartile every calendar year since 2005, but trailing the category average. New manager Richard Hodges joined in February 2009; from 1 March 2009 to 30 April 2010 the fund returned 26.60% against a category average of 22.82%. It’s early days, but we think Hodges and his team will build on this record (although we certainly don’t expect this or other bond funds’ returns to be so heady in absolute terms in the future). . . ."
