In November the UK All Companies sector was the best seller in terms of gross retail sales for a second consecutive month. This was the first time this has happened since the summer of 2002.

In terms of net retail sales – that is taking redemptions into account – UK Corporate Bond remained more popular than UK All Companies. The worst selling sectors by this criterion were Global Growth

and UK Money Market.

Overall net retail sales at £523.4m were up 3% on November 2002. However, sales were down from the £559.3m recorded in October of this year.

Intermediaries were once again the most popular distribution channel with 68% of gross retail investment. The direct public channel continued to withdraw money from funds overall.
