Though many of the key concerns facing investors in 2009 have continued to take a front seat in 2010 - double-dip recessions, sovereign debt defaults, low interest rate environments - a lot has happened over the past 12 months and Morningstar is no exception.

We wanted to take this opportunity to wish you a prosperous start to 2011 and remind you of the host of new offerings and upgrades now available on Morningstar.co.uk.

Our spring clean earlier in the year has led to a much tidier home page and we've since applied this easier-to-navigate template to all our cover pages, so whether you're interested in equities, funds (open-ended, closed-end or exchange-traded), or ISA investments, you can now find the data, tools and commentary you need at a glance.

Talking of equities, if you haven't already checked out our new Equity Reports and equity tools we're confident you'll be pleased to see we now offer heat maps, director dealings information, a corporate calendar, and news that you can either read at your leisure in our archive or have sent directly to your inbox by way of a news alert.

Investment trusts and other closed-end funds have garnered increasing levels of interest over the past year and we're happy to have unveiled our new CEF Centre and closed-end fund reports. Here, you can find not only our clear and concise reports for each closed-end fund available for sale in the UK but also a plethora of news and commentary to help you make the right investment decisions. We'll also be rolling out CEF analysis and individual fund ratings in 2011 so stay tuned for more information.

This last point is also true for exchange-traded funds, where our ETF analysts have been busy researching and assigning fund ratings that will be unveiled in the New Year on Morningstar.co.uk.

Finally, we know that at the end of a long day your eyes don't necessarily want to read yet more words, so we've been increasingly gaining market and portfolio insights from managers in video format rather than written text. Our new video centre means you can sit back and watch Morningstar editors quiz investment luminaries on the investing environment, their top picks, their fears, and much more. Of course, if video isn't your thing, we also publish full transcripts of these interviews that you can read as you wish.

This summary of new features isn't an exhaustive list so please take the time to visit Morningstar.co.uk and see what we have to offer.

As always, we appreciate your feedback so feel free to share your thoughts and ideas.
