Morningstar has moved the Scottish Investment Trust (SCIN) to a Morningstar Analyst Rating™ of Neutral.  The trust was previously Under Review following the departure of John Kennedy last summer. Alisdair McKinnon has since been named as Acting Manager and has reduced the analyst team by two. Acting Manager is an unusual title for an investment trust, and suggests a further change at the helm is possible. McKinnon’s experience as a portfolio manager is limited and Morningstar needs to see evidence of success to build confidence in his abilities.
