Following the Morningstar OBSR Analyst Ratings Meeting on 10th April 2014, we have awarded the GLG Undervalued Assets fund a Morningstar OBSR Analyst Rating™ of Bronze.  The fund has been managed by Henry Dixon since inception in November 2013 and utilises the same investment process as the FP Matterley Undervalued Assets fund, which is currently outsourced to Mr Dixon at GLG. Mr Dixon founded Matterley and prior to that worked at New Star. The fund offers investors a portfolio of predominantly UK equities that are considered to be undervalued relative to their asset base and to the returns on capital the companies are generating. The fund aims to outperform the FTSE All Share index through a market cycle, but with lower volatility than the market and as such is likely to outperform in a falling market and may struggle in a strongly rising bull market or a thematically driven market. The manager’s consistent implementation of a well-articulated investment process supports the award of a Bronze rating.
