Arkle Resources PLC - Dublin-based mineral exploration and development company - Hails Group Eleven Resources Corp's zinc deposit development programme in County Limerick, Ireland. Arkle and Group Eleven, the Vancouver-based zinc ore producer, both hold interest in the zinc deposit, the Stonepark Zinc Project. Arkle is "pleased" by the announcement of the programme, which will see a four-drill mobilisation by Group Eleven. Arkle will not participate in funding the programme due to its prioritisation of Namibia uranium projects, leading to an expected decrease in Arkle's Stonepark interest from 22.36% to 21.38%.
Rory Harding, Arkle's interim chief executive officer, says: "Arkle welcomes the update from Group Eleven...Whilst Arkle's core focus is on our uranium exploration opportunity in Namibia, zinc is a critical and strategic mineral and so we consider Arkle's interest...to be an additional opportunity for significant value creation for Arkle shareholders."
