(Alliance News) - Ireland's trade surplus fell in February as its trade surplus with the UK declined sharply, data published by the Central Statistics Office showed Wednesday

The country's trade surplus declined 5.4% to EUR4.06 billion in February from EUR4.30 billion in January.

Ireland's trade surplus with the rest of the EU rose 3.2% to EUR2.95 billion in February from EUR2.86 billion in January.

Its trade surplus with the US climbed 13% to EUR2.10 billion in February from EUR1.86 billion in January.

However, Ireland's trade surplus with the UK fell 82% to EUR84 million in February from EUR478 million in January.
