(Alliance News) - Seeing Machines Ltd on Friday said it was informed of an alleged cyber threat against it around 10 days ago but has not identified any evidence of a breach.

The Canberra-based designer of artificial intelligence powered operator monitoring systems said it is aware that a third party named it online in connection with claims that some of its data has been accessed.

"The company understand this news may cause concern and wish to assure all stakeholders that immediately upon becoming aware of the claim it was, and continues to be, thoroughly investigated as a priority," Seeing Machines said.

The firm said it has not identified any "relevant events" related to the claims, nor has it found any unauthorised access to its systems or data.

"All operations are running as normal, and sophisticated monitoring systems have been implemented to ensure the company is aware if there are any further developments. Nonetheless, the company will continue monitoring of its systems over the coming period to ensure the ongoing safety of all systems and data," it added.

Seeing Machines said it is liaising with the relevant authorities alongside "various experts across the cyber security industry".

Shares in Seeing Machines were up 0.4% at 3.09 pence on Friday morning in London.
