Gem Diamonds Ltd - 70% owner of Letseng diamond mine in Lesotho, southern Africa - Finds 126.21 carat type II white diamond at Leseng mine on Friday last week. The stone is the 12th diamond of more than 100 carats found so far in 2024. Gem recovered a 122.20 carat diamond earlier this month and 129.71 carat and 145.55 carat stones last month. The value of such large stones varies widely. In the first quarter of this year, Gem Diamonds said it sold 113.11 carat white diamond for USD39,345 per carat, or USD4.5 million.

Current stock price: 11.73 pence, up 2.0% in London on Wednesday
