(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Wednesday.

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

Ocean Wilsons Holdings Ltd, up 8.3% at 1,461.80 pence, 12-month range 816.00p-1,485.00p. In the first quarter of 2024, the investment holding company's revenue rises by 18% to GBP129.4 million from GBP109.8 million a year earlier, while profit increases by 29% to USD21.2 million from USD16.4 million. Across the first quarter, Ocean Wilsons says its portfolio increased in value by USD12.7 million or 4.1%, driven by the "strong performance of the public asset portfolio and the fact that the defensive portfolio performed well versus government bonds".

STV Group PLC, up 3.5% at 253.50p, 12-month range 175.00p-256.45p. The broadcast television channel operator and content studio says BBC Daytime has commissioned new series of antiques programmes 'Antiques Road Trip', 'Celebrity Antiques Road Trip' and 'The Travelling Auctioneers' from production company STV Studios, in an order totalling 56 episodes. STV says production has already begun on a third 20-episode series of The Travelling Auctioneers. STV Studios Creative Director of Factual Craig Hunter comments: "I'm delighted with the ongoing success of these returning STV Studios formats. This order is a testament to the BBC's commitment to the nations and I couldn't be prouder of the hard-working teams that continue to deliver a fresh twist on these much-loved brands."

Synthomer PLC, down 4.3% at 279.00p, 12-month range 14.44p-301.37p. The chemicals manufacturer's share price falls after Deutsche Bank starts its coverage of the stock with a 'hold' rating, setting a target price of 260p.

Helical PLC, down 2.8% at 212.00p, 12-month range 181.00p-307.50p. The London-focused property developer's share price falls despite Deutsche Bank starting its coverage of the stock with a 'buy' rating, setting a target price of 270p. Helical is scheduled to release its financial 2024 results on May 23.
