(Alliance News) - Helical PLC and Ashby Capital have let the sixth and seventh floor of the JJ Mack Building to private equity firm Partners Group Holding AG for its new London office.

The new office for Zug, Switzerland-based Partners Group has 37,880 square feet of space and marks the first letting at the Charterhouse Street building, which was completed on September 30 near Farringdon station in the City of London.

"This early letting is testament to the building's quality, strong sustainability credentials and excellent location," said Ashby Capital Chief Executive Peter Ferrari.

Helical CEO Gerald Kaye said the early letting marked "a clear bifurcation taking place in the market between the best in class office space and the rest".

The JJ Mack Building comprises 200,450 square feet of office space in total, plus 5,511 square feet of ground floor retail, including 426 cycle spaces and three large roof terraces.

Shares in Helical were down 1.6% at 349.00 pence in London on Monday afternoon, while shares in Partners Group were down 1.3% to CHF1,034.50 in Zurich.
