(Alliance News) - Beowulf Mining PLC on Monday said Non-Executive Chair Sven Otto Littorin has stepped down.

In Littorin's place, the London-based Nordic-focused mining company has appointed Johan Rostin.

Rostin was chief executive of ferry operator ForSea Ferries for three years, between 2017 and 2020. Before that, he was CEO of Copenhagen Malmo Port AB for eight years.

"Johan's knowledge and experience will be of significant benefit to the company and support for Ulla, as the company progresses with project development studies, permitting, and attracting finance for the Kallak project, positioning Kallak as a future source of secure and sustainably produced high grade iron ore for fossil-free steelmakers in the region."

Shares in Beowulf were down 4.8% to 3.95 pence each in London on Monday afternoon.
