ITV PLC - London-based television broadcaster - Signs long-term commercial partnership with Sky TV, saying the deal builds upon the previous advertising and carriage agreement between the two companies. Sky is part of Comcast Corp. Under the new agreement the full ITV content offering will be integrated into Sky+ and Sky Q by adding the ITV Hub app to Sky Q during 2022. ITV says the Sky integration of ITV Hub will increase the inventory pool of Planet V, ITV's programmatic addressable advertising platform.

"This exciting new commercial partnership brings many advantages for our advertisers and delivers on our objective of building a scale [advertising-based video-on-demand] proposition across the UK market and ensures ITV’s ability to deliver addressable advertising at scale on ITV Hub with Planet V," says ITV Chief Executive Officer Carloyn McCall in announcement on Wednesday.
