(Alliance News) - Media firm Future PLC on Monday noted that its GBP594 million takeover of GoCo Group PLC - which owns Gocompare.com, Look After My Bills and MyVoucherCodes - has gained approval from the UK Financial Conduct Authority.

In late November, Future announced that under the agreed combination, GoCo shareholders will be entitled to receive 0.052497 new shares in Future and 33 pence in cash, valuing each GoCo share at 136 pence each.

Now the scheme is subject to approval from both GoCo and Future shareholders, at a general meeting which are to be held on Thursday next week. There is also the condition of the scheme being sanctioned by the court.

Shares in Future were up 3.5% at 1,798.00 pence in London on Monday, while GoCo Group's shares were 0.9% lower at 127.90p.
