3i (III): Simon Borrows has been appointed as CIO and an executive director of 3i, the largest U.K. closed-end fund. His addition increases the number of board members to eight, including three executive directors and five non-executives. Borrows currently sits on the boards of two other listed companies.

Black Sea Property (BKSA): Stephen Coe has been appointed as an executive director of the company, bringing the number of board members to four. He serves as a non-executive director of four other listed companies.

Edge Performance VCT 'C' (EDGC): Lord Howard Flight has been appointed as a non-executive director of the company. He sits on five other boards of listed companies. His addition increases the number of board members at Edge Performance to six.

Edinburgh Dragon (EFM): Having been appointed to the board a week prior, Peter Maynard has this week bought his first tranche of shares of the company.

Edinburgh Worldwide (EWI): Henry Strutt will join the board of Edinburgh Worldwide on November 1. This will be his first non-executive role.

Infrastructure India (IIP): Vikram Viswanath has been appointed as a non-executive director of the Infrastructure India fund. It is the first role of this kind for Viswanath. The board of the fund is very young, with an average tenure hardly exceeding a year.

JPMorgan Global Emerg Mkts Inc (JEMI): Richard Robinson will join the board of JPMorgan Global Emerging Markets on December 1. The board of the fund, which launched in July 2010, currently numbers three; Robinson held a similar role in the past, so his appointment should strengthen the board.

LMS Capital (LMS): Further to the wind-down plans of the private equity fund, the independent committee believes that in the interest of good corporate governance and to ensure complete independence, Robert Rayne, the chairman, should stand down from his position. Rayne and parties related to him owning a 35% stake in the fund have proposed to break up the company at the beginning of September. Rayne, who has been on the board since April 2006 and has served as chairman since May 2010, offered to resign as chairman but intends to remain a director.

Masawara (MASA): Yvonne Deeney has joined the board of Masawara, the Zimbabwean and Southern African balanced CEF launched in August last year. She will serve as a non-executive director.
