Jonathan Miller: Our awards for investing excellence are taking a slightly different format this year, as we're announcing the winners here on our website. For the Group Award, we looked at firms that have managers and teams buying into a demonstrable culture, consistency in their fund line up, and when they're growing, do so in a measured manner with investors at the forefront of their thinking. And one of those areas of success, we look to see that the strength in depth is being built there.

In our research team's opinion, the winner's been delivering on all these fronts and the winner of the Group Award is Schroders.

Holly Black: I'm with Johanna Kyrklund. She's Chief Investment Officer at Schroders, and you've just won Outstanding Investment House at the Morningstar Fund Manager of the Year Awards. Congratulations.

Johanna Kyrklund: Thank you.

Black: So, what do you think, sets Schroders apart from other investment houses.

Kyrklund: I think we've always had a very long-term commitment for active management. Something that we've always stood for, and it really permeates the culture of the place. Linked to that obviously, if you're focused on really assessing risks in an active way, your people are very important. And again, we put people at the centre of our culture, so I think that's really how I would characterise Schroders, really focused on delivering for our clients, and also ensuring that we have the right people to deliver those results.

Black: So, what are some of the big themes for Schroders looking ahead?

Kyrklund: Well, again, when we look at the long term and typically we are quite long term stakeholders in the companies we own, it's evident that there are number of factors that are becoming more important. I mean, particularly ESG factors are really important at this point in time and we need to be forward looking in trying to assess where companies are heading from that perspective. So, incorporating sustainability, really thinking about the risks of the future like climate change. And taking a forward looking approach to understanding how those risks could impact our investments. I'd say that's our biggest priority right now.

Black: And I guess finally, what does winning Outstanding Investment House mean to you?

Kyrklund: Well, you know every day -- every day is a new day in the markets. And as I said, we're always trying to deliver results for our clients, and it can be quite a slog to be honest, day-by-day trying to ensure that we're making the best decisions. So, you know getting recognition like this makes it all worthwhile. Makes us understand that we are doing right by our clients, we're very pleased to get this recognition.

Black: Johanna, thank you for your time and again, congratulations. For Morningstar, I'm Holly Black.
