Following the Morningstar OBSR Analyst Ratings Meeting on 10th July 2014, we have moved the Threadneedle American fund to a Morningstar OBSR Analyst Rating™ of Neutral. The fund’s rating was previously put Under Review following a series of departures from the team at the beginning of 2014, including that of lead manager Cormac Weldon.  The new manager since February 2014 is Nadia Grant who has 14 years’ experience, all gained at JP Morgan Asset Management. Threadneedle has additionally made significant hires to strengthen its US equity team; however, it is still early days for the team and we feel that a Neutral rating is appropriate at this stage.
