Today's investors face a distinctive set of challenges, particularly when it comes to securing a regular income from one’s investments, what with current concerns over low yields, rising rates, and inflation. Couple those headwinds with the need for retirees' portfolios to last two decades or more, and it's clear today's investors have their work cut out for them.

To that end, here at Morningstar we’ve run a week-long Special Feature in which we investigated the current investing environment and ways that investors can seek to increase their portfolios’ income generation.
