Biography |
Ed Gurung has been at HSBC Global Asset Management since September 2007 and has been a portfolio manager in the Quantitative Equity Team in London since 2014. He is responsible for the management of HSBC’s segregated and pooled funds across traditional market cap, smart beta and factor strategies. Peter currently manages a broad allocation of different fund structures including segregated, commingled pension, ETFs and retail funds, with a primary focus and expertise in the Americas, Europe ex UK, and global strategies. Previously, Ed worked in HSBC’s Global Private Banking Division, within the trade support area. Ed started his career in a brokerage support role at Beta 2 in 2006 where he was working in the commodities division. Ed holds a BA in Business Studies, majoring in Finance from the University of De-Montfort. He is a CFA level 3 candidate, a member of CISI, and registered ACSI. Ed represents HSBC on the FTSE Index committees, supporting best practices and evolution and improvement of benchmarks. |
