Alien Metals Ltd - London-based exploration company focused on Australia, Mexico and Greenland - Extends settlement date of its agreement to acquire Platina Resources Ltd's 30% joint venture interest in the Munni Munni platinum group metals and gold project in the West Pilbara, Australia.

The extension is to give Alien more time to obtain the necessary regulatory approvals and third-party consents. Platina will be paid AUD2.2 million, about USD1.6 million, of which AUD2.0 million will be raised by an issue of shares in Alien, and the AUD250,00 remainder paid in cash. The final completion date is now February 11.

Alien Metals has previously agreed to buy the remaining 70% interest in the JV from Artemis Resources Ltd, meaning it will own 100% of the project on completion of the two deals.

Current stock price: 0.69 pence, down 1.4% on Friday
