(Alliance News) - Semper Fortis Esports PLC on Friday said it is in talks to establish commercial relationships with "leading sports figures".
In a response to a press report, the Aquis-listed esports firm said it is "pursuing such relationships with leading sports figures in line with the company's strategy."
Semper Fortis said it will update the market when any brand ambassador deals have been struck.
Earlier on Friday, the Evening Standard reported the company was in advanced talks to sign up Premier League footballers Harry Maguire and Dominic Calvert-Lewin as ambassadors.
Maguire captains Manchester United, one of English football's marquee names. Calvert-Lewin plays for Merseyside-based Everton and has been one of the Premier League's breakout stars in recent years.
In April, Semper said it raised GBP2.6 million in its Aquis float.
Shares in the company were 11% higher at 3.6 pence each in London on Friday afternoon.
