Surface Transforms PLC - Liverpool-based maker of carbon‐ceramic automotive brake discs - Pretax loss narrows marginally to GBP2.9 million in 2020 from GBP3.0 million in 2019, on revenue of GBP2.0 million, up slightly. Had GBP1.1 million cash on December 31, up from GBP770,000 a year before, but since the year-end has raised GBP19 million in a share placing. Declares no annual dividend, unchanged from 2019. Chair David Bundred said 2020 results, together with recent contracts, marks the "coming of age" of Surface Transforms. Order book recently increased to GBP43 million and includes work on the Aston Martin Valkyrie sports car. Calls annual general meeting for June 2.

Current stock price: 69.25 pence, down 5.1% Monday

Year-to-date change: up 41%
