JPMorgan Mid Cap Investment Trust PLC - investment firm - Reports net asset value per share as at the end of 2020 of 1,234.8 pence, down compared to 1,385.9p a year prior, but up from 1,001.3p at the end of June 2020. Total return on net assets was 26% in the six months to the end of 2020, which compares to the 22% return from the company's benchmark, the FTSE 250 Index (excluding investment trusts). Share price discount to NAV narrowed to 7.5% as at the end of December from 12% at the end of June, resulting in a share price total return of 32%. Says recovery in returns has been driven by a variety of factors, but in particular stock markets worldwide were boosted by better-than-expected results from Covid-19 vaccine trials and subsequent roll-outs, especially in the UK and US. The company keeps an interim dividend of 8.0p, unchanged year-on-year.
