(Alliance News) - Altyn PLC on Monday said it has achieved an important milestone and moved towards extension of its mining contract at Sekisovskoye deposit in Kazakhstan until 2030.

The mining company said the State Ecological Expertise Agency of Eastern Kazakhstan's region has approved the plan of mining operations and environmental impact assessment of the Sekisovskoye deposit.

Altyn explained that these new permissions regarding environmental emissions and environmental protection measures were granted to its subsidiary Baurgold LLP for the period between 2020 and 2029.

Following this approval, Altyn said it anticipates a successful review over the coming months of the subsoil contract for the Sekisovskoye deposit with the Ministry of Investment & Infrastructural Development of Kazakhstan for the extension of its contract until 2030.

Altyn shares were trading 1.9% lower in London on Monday at 1.15 pence each.
