(Alliance News) - PZ Cussons PLC said Wednesday it has appointed former Nestle executive Paul Grimwood and ex-BP executive Kirsty Bashforth as non-executive directors with the effect from November 1.

The personal healthcare products manufacturer said Grimwood worked in many different markets and across broad range of product categories during his 19-year career with Nestle SA, and "has a wealth of experience in brand building and business optimisation in international markets".

Kirsty Bashforth held a number of senior executive positions during a long career with BP PLC, "leading the strategic co-ordination of BP's global B2B business and finishing her career as global head of organisational effectiveness," PZ Cussons said.

The company also said that Tamara Minick-Scokalo, a non-executive director, will leave the board with immediate effect for personal health reasons.

Caroline Silver, chair of the company, said: "I am delighted to announce Paul's and Kirsty's appointment. They bring a wealth of experience which will be tremendously helpful to the board as we execute our new Focus, Scale, Accelerate strategy."

PZ Cussons shares were down 0.2% in London at 199.60 pence each on Wednesday.
