(Alliance News) - Highlands Natural Resources PLC said Friday its subsidiary Zoetic Organics has launched its new cannabidiol product brand Chill, with the first shipment scheduled for next week.

Chill will initially comprise hemp flower and cannabidiol-infused herbal smokables. Zoetic Organics is a US-focused cannabis operation established by Highlands in March.

Eventually the brand's product range will be extended to chew pouches, with the products expected to be made available for purchase in 18 months in convenience stores owned by Schrader Oil, which manages a network of stores across the US.

Highlands said that Zoetic continues to develop at "a rapid rate" and is expected to launch its second brand and additional products in the next few weeks.

"To make delivery of our first products for retail within three months of commencing operations is an extraordinary achievement and is testament to the hard work of all of the team at Highlands and Zoetic. We are optimistic about our early sales and will update investors in due course," said Executive Chairman Robert Price.

Shares Highlands, which also has eight producing oil wells in Colorado, were up 2.7% at 9.70 pence on Friday.
