LONDON (Alliance News) - Tlou Energy Ltd on Wednesday noted an approval by Botswana's Public Procurement & Asset Disposal Board for talks over the company's coal bed methane tender.

The decision was published in the Botswana Daily Newspaper on Tuesday.

On October 10, the gas-to-power company submitted a response to the Botwana's Ministry of Minerals Resources, Green Technology & Energy Security to "engage in negotiations" with Tlou regarding the tender to develop up to 100 megawatt pilot power plants fuelled by coal bed methane.

"The company will liaise with the Ministry of Minerals Resources, Green Technology & Energy Security and the [Public Procurement & Asset Disposal Board] to obtain further clarity on the above and will update the market once official confirmation has been received," said Tlou.

Tlou submitted its response to the ministry's request for proposal for the development of the plants back in October 2018.

Shares in Tlou were up 2.5% at 7.43 pence on Wednesday afternoon.
