LONDON (Alliance News) - Television and multimedia content producer Zinc Media Group PLC said on Monday that Chief Executive Officer David Galan will step down from his role and the company in 2019 to "pursue a business opportunity in an unrelated sector".

Galan has been chief executive at Zinc Media since February and has been part of the company for three years since 2016.

Zinc Media has started the search for Galan's replacement and Galan himself will remain with the company to facilitate an orderly transition to his successor.

In addition, Zinc Media has appointed Tern Television Productions Ltd Managing Director Harry Bell to the board as an executive director with immediate effect.

"Whilst we will be sad to see David relinquish his CEO role, we are grateful for the role he has played in the transformation of Zinc Media over the last few years, and believe that firm foundations have been laid for the future growth and success of the business. I am pleased that David will remain involved with the company and be available to hand over the reins to his successor, once one has been appointed," said Chairman Peter Bertram.
