Last night London's The Steelyard played host to the annual Morningstar Fund Awards for Investing Excellence. At stake? Two central awards for best asset manager and best asset manager – sustainability, and a further five category awards, ranging from best global equity fund to best GBP allocation.

Kicking off proceedings was Morningstar managing director for UK and West EMEA Connor Sloman, who introduced the evening before handing over to director of fund research Jon Miller. Once the awards were finished, each winner had the chance to take part in an interview and give their thoughts on investing in 2023, and what it takes to be a "good" asset management firm in the 21st century.

Congratulations to all the worthy winners. The first interview, featuring best asset manager J O Hambro Capital Management, is now ready to view above.
