Following a recent Morningstar Analyst Ratings Meeting, we have upgraded the Morningstar Analyst Rating™ of the Invesco Perpetual UK Growth fund to Silver. The fund previously held a Bronze rating. The fund has been managed by Martin Walker since June 2008, but Walker has managed money in this style since 2003. Walker combines both top-down and bottom-up inputs and adopts an unconstrained, valuation-orientated approach. His approach is contrarian in nature but pragmatic and always with a strong appreciation of the risks he is taking. Walker has demonstrated a clear investment philosophy to which he has adhered consistently, even through less favourable market conditions and he has achieved impressive, risk-adjusted returns over the long-term as a result. In our opinion, the fund is an offering worth considering by investors looking for a UK fund investing predominantly in large and mid-caps.
