LONDON (Alliance News) - Scisys Group PLC on Thursday said its German subsidiary has secured a contract with the European Space Operations Centre.

The supplier of bespoke software systems said the anticipated contract value is EUR2.8 million, for the four years until 2023, with an option for an additional extension of five years.

In 2017, Scisys reported pretax profit of GBP3.9 million on revenue of GBP57.2 million.

Scisys will supply monitoring & control system tailoring services for the European Space Agency's network of ground stations, which support various spacecraft missions.

The ground stations are all equipped with a central monitoring & control system, which serves as the basis for providing the high level of automation achieved in the operation of this network of ground stations.

Scisys' Space division in Germany will be responsible for maintaining the operational status of this automated monitoring & control system.

"Scisys is proud to have supported European Space Agency's tracking network for more a decade and this latest contract is testament to our position as trusted partners and suppliers of ground-segment solutions," said Scisys Chief Executive Klaus Heidrich.

Scisys shares were trading 1.5% higher on Thursday at 170.00 pence each.
