LONDON (Alliance News) - Marketing firm WPP PLC said Wednesday that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Wunderman, is acquiring Gorilla Inc.

Gorilla is a US e-commerce company that recorded a USD40 million revenue for 2017. Wunderman, a digital agency, will pay an undisclosed sum for the business.

Gorilla will join Wunderman Commerce, Wunderman's commercial division, which combines its commerce agencies including Salmon, Fusepump, and Marketplace Ignition. The date of the acquisition was also undisclosed.

Shares in WPP were trading up 0.6% at 1,229.00 pence on Wednesday.
