LONDON (Alliance News) - SOCO International PLC on Thursday said it has promoted Non-Executive Rob Gray to deputy chairman with immediate effect.

Having been a SOCO non-executive since 2013, Gray has previously worked in various roles for the likes of James Capel & Co, Kleinwort Benson, Robert Fleming & Co and Deutsche Bank. He is a co-founder of RegEnersys, a natural resources investment entity, and is currently the principal of ReVysion LLP.

"I am delighted that Rob has accepted the new role of deputy chairman. His specialist commercial, governance, investment and entrepreneurial skills and experience have added essential value to the board for the last four years. His new role provides additional strength to the board as we focus on strategically reshaping the business, growing our portfolio and continuing to deliver substantive value to shareholders," said Non-Executive Chairman Rui de Sousa.

Shares in SOCO International were down 0.5% at 101.25 pence Thursday.
