LONDON (Alliance News) - Commercial passenger aircraft leasing company Avation PLC announced on Thursday it signed multiple long-term leases with two airlines for four aircraft.

The group confirmed that the lease for a mid-life Airbus A321 will begin after its current lease expires in mid-2018. The aircraft will pass to another European airline for a period of 72 months at what it said was "typical commercial rates for a mid-life aircraft."

Avation stated that long-term leases have been signed for three additional aircraft. This follows a Letter of Intent announced by the company on July 19. The aircraft are scheduled to be delivered towards the end of the fourth quarter of 2017.

Shares in Avation were up 1.5% at 239.92 pence on Thursday.
