LONDON (Alliance News) - Good Energy Group PLC on Monday said its second corporate bond is closed, with the company receiving valid applications for GBP16.7 million.

The renewable energy supplier said the funds will help support and enhance the delivery of its new strategy, as it explores opportunities in new business areas including green business consultancy, in order to promote the wider use of electric vehicles and energy storage.

"Those committed to a cleaner, greener, fairer future are coming together in a global movement that has never been more powerful than it is today and I'm thrilled that the Good Energy family - our customers, our investors, our shareholders, our staff, our generators and our partners are at the heart of it," Chief Executive Juliet Davenport said in a statement.

Good Energy added that it has "a small number" of additional applications for the second corporate bond that are still in the process of being cleared, but that these additional applications will not materially change the overall result.

Good Energy expects to allot the bonds on June 30.

Shares in Good Energy were untraded at 217.50 pence on Monday.
