WASHINGTON (Alliance News) - President-elect Donald Trump's choice to serve as secretary of state says he looks forward to discussions around how the US should conduct its climate change policies.

ExxonMobil chief executive Rex Tillerson says Trump has asked him for his views in the area of climate change and he feels it's important for him to express those views.

He says a few years ago the concluded that the risk of climate change does exist and the consequences could be serious enough that action should be taken.

"The increase in greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere [is] having an effect. Our ability to predict that effect is very limited," Tillerson says at his confirmation hearing.
