LONDON (Alliance News) - Radiation detection technology company Kromek Group PLC on Thursday said it has signed a cross-licensing deal with an unnamed medical equipment maker.

Under the deal, Kromek will be granted a licence to use three patents the manufacturer holds and will grant the company a licence covering three of its own patents in return.

No financial details were disclosed.

"We are delighted to be entering into this licensing agreement with one of world's well known manufacturers of medical equipment," said Arnab Basu, Kromek's chief executive.

Kromek shares were up 8.0% to 39.40 pence on the news, one of the best performers in the AIM All-Share Thursday morning.
