Portfolio Manager

Whether you’re a newcomer to the world of investing or a seasoned investor, Morningstar’s Portfolio Manager is a straightforward and sophisticated tool that enables you to create, track and manage your investment portfolio.

We offer two different types of portfolios: Watchlist Portfolios can be used as a tracking tool for assets that you already hold or are considering adding to your portfolio; Transaction Portfolios allow you to also manage specific buy and sell portfolio transactions. Both enable you to manage equity, fund and cash holdings, compare your portfolio to a chosen benchmark, track individual and overall gains and losses, monitor risk and diversification, and read news and commentary related to your holdings.

Or maybe you don’t yet invest but are considering dipping your toe into the water: Use Portfolio Manager to create a fantasy portfolio and monitor the diversification benefits and performances of your potential holdings. In each case, you can set up e-mail alerts as an easy way to keep track of important changes to your portfolios.

Portfolio Manager is free to use—simply register at Morningstar.co.uk to save and track your portfolio(s). Access Portfolio Manager and all our other investing tools here

X-Ray Your Portfolio

If you invest in a company pension, do some investing of your own with an online brokerage account and also have an ISA: are you confident that your combined investments are well diversified?

Premium subscribers can use our Instant X-Ray tool to drill down into their portfolio(s) and gain a comprehensive analysis of underlying holdings, asset allocation, sector weightings, investment style, regional distribution, bond and equity statistics, and potential stock overlap.
