Gold Ratings Galore

The Olympics may be over, but these funds are still receiving Gold awards

Morningstar OBSR analysts have been reaffirming their Gold-ratings on a number of top-notch funds over the last few weeks. This group of highly-regarded funds generally focus on UK investments, but concentrate on investing in different areas, such as small-cap companies or corporate bonds.

Below is a selection of funds that have had their Gold ratings reaffirmed in new analyst reports over the last few weeks:

Aberforth UK Small Companies Fund 
Morningstar Rating: Gold
Brief description: This fund is considered to be a good “supporting player” within a large portfolio. The investment style has a bias towards value-oriented small-cap companies.

Schroder UK Alpha Plus Fund
Morningstar Rating: Gold
Brief description: This fund has just celebrated its 10th anniversary and remains one of the best UK equity funds around, according to Morningstar OBSR analysts. However, investors should be prepared for short-term volatility if they buy into this fund.
