Better Capital PCC 2009 (BCAP): Mark Huntley has bought his first tranche of shares in the fund since his appointment to the board in December 2009. We like to see such action as we believe it aligns directors’ interests with those of the shareholders. That said, it’s a little disappointing it has taken over two years for this to happen. Out of four board members who were appointed at the same time, he is the last to buy a stake here.

China Private Equity Investments (CPEH): Duncan Chui has resigned as CEO of the company and stepped down from the board, but will continue as CIO. He has been on the board since October 2009. John Croft, currently a non-executive director, has been appointed as interim CEO. Following Chui’s department, the board numbers six directors, of which three are non-executive.

Octopus Titan VCT 5 (OTV5): Jo Oliver has succeeded Chris Hulatt as a non-executive director. Hulatt was on the board for less than a year, as the fund only launched in March 2011. He also stepped down from the boards of Octopus Titan VCT 1, 2, 3 and 4 at the end of last year. Hulatt is one of the three founders of the company's investment manager, Octopus Investments Limited, and remains CFO there. The board currently counts three members, with Oliver bringing investment experience to the table.
