ETF Performances: Commodities Up, Volatility Down

Commodity and volatility-linked exchange-traded products (ETPs) featured prominently on last week’s best and worst performers list, respectively. Natural gas rallied from record-lows on the news that production will be cut by companies including Chesapeake Energy Corporation, the world's second largest natural gas producer.

Fear was clearly out of favor last week amid reassuring announcements from the US Fed that interest rates would be kept low until 2014. Volatility-linked ETPs tracking S&P 500 volatility futures dominated the list of the week's worst performing ETPs. Here for the full details for last week's best and worst performing ETPs:
